Pole vault athletes Katerina Stefanidi and Renaud Lavillenie were elected to the Athletes’ Commission of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF).

The Greek Stefanidi, the French Lavillenie and four other athletes have been elected for four years by the participant athletes of the IAAF World Athletics Championships  in Doha, Qatar. They will join six other members who will remain two more years in the Commission.

Stefanidi won the bronze medal in Doha and Lavillenie was eliminated in pole vault qualifying.

Two athletes from the Commission represent the Commission in the IAAF Council.
