The European Young Ambassador Programme (EYAP) was presented at the 1st IOC NOC Culture and Education Champions’ network General Assembly in Olympia, Greece on 21 May.
The NOC Culture and Education Champions project has been launched by the IOC Executive Board, with the goal of establishing a network of 139 champions responsible for culture and education within their respective NOCs.
On that occasion, EOC Olympic Culture and Legacy Commission Chair Susanna Rahkamo (FIN) along with NOC Serbia Olympic Values Promotion Manager Natasa Jankovic, who is also part of the EOC Commission, presented the EYAP.
Under the auspices of the EOC Culture & Legacy Commission, the initiative aims at fostering the Olympic values among young athletes participating at EYOF, following the Recommendation 22 of the Olympic Agenda 2020.
This year’s programme will bring together 50 young people aged 18–25, who share the same passion, energy, motivation and will inspire young athletes to live under the Olympic values in and out of field.
