From 9 to 11 October, the HOC Athletes’ Commission organised the Athlete365 Career+ Self Discovery/CV Resume Workshop at the International Olympic Academy (IOA) in Ancient Olympia.

Organised in conjunction with the IOC’s Athlete365 programme, the workshop was aimed at supporting athletes in their personal development and professional preparations for life during and beyond their sporting careers. In total, 31 athletes representing 27 national sports federations – 17 women and 14 men – took part. In addition to the educational sessions, the workshop provided opportunities for athletes to connect, share experiences and build relationships across different sports disciplines, strengthening the sense of community within Greek sport.

Guided tours of the archaeological site of Ancient Olympia and the IOA facilities were also on the programme. The HOC received Olympic Solidarity funding from the Athletes’ Career Transition Programme for its Athlete365 workshop,

A particularly meaningful moment was the wreath-laying ceremony at the monument of Pierre de Coubertin, performed by three Olympic medallists: Voula Kozompoli OLY, Dimitris Mougios OLY and Antonis Papakonstantinou OLY.
