Five days until the Opening Ceremony of the Taranto 2026 Mediterranean Games, Pope Leo XIV send his message for this great sporting events that unites 26 countries and 3 continents.

Pope Leo XIV, in his Angelus message from Castel Gandolfo, underlined the extraordinary importance of the Mediterranean Games.

“This week, the Mediterranean Games will begin, and they will take place in Taranto. They will involve several countries from Africa, Asia and Europe belonging to the Mediterranean region. I hope that this sporting event will be a prophecy of peace and fraternity among the people of this region and of the entire world” said the Pope Leo XIV.
