The International Committee of Mediterranean Games Coordination Commission for Taranto 2026 visited the Italian city and other Apulian locations on 21 and 22 of June, to examine the progress of the preparation for the XX edition of the Mediterranean Games scheduled from 21 August to 3 September 2026.
The Commissioner Massimo Ferrarese welcomed the ICMG delegation led by the Secretary General Iakovos Filippousis and President of the Coordination Commission, Stavri Bello and accompanied the group during the visits in some facilities including the nautical center and the Palamazzola of Taranto.
The General Director Carlo Molfetta expressed his satisfaction for the visit of the Coordination Commission: “The close collaboration between the New Organizing Committee, the city of Taranto and the International Committee of Mediterranean Games will make the 2026 edition a unique opportunity to demonstrate how the integration between the people is exalted by the values of sport, culture and the beauty of our territory, the cradle of civilization in the classical era”.
