The Tokyo Olympics concluded on Sunday, June 8, with great success and the countries – members of the International Committee of the Mediterranean Games achieving great results.
A total of 16 countries won medals, with France on the top of the Mediterranean countries taking 33 medals in total. Ten of them were gold, 12 silver and 11 bronze. France was in the 8th place of the Olympics medal table and it was followed by Italy with 10 gold medals and the 10th place in the overall medal table.
In the third place among the Mediterranean countries and 22nd overall, was Spain with 3 gold medals.
The other countries that won medals are: Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkiye, Greece, Kosovo, Egypt, Portugal, Tunisia, Morocco, San Marino, Northern Macedonia, Syria.
