Tunisian swimmer and Olympic champion Oussama Mellouli (37) qualified for the Tokyo Olympis following his 10th place in the 10 km open water qualifying race at Setubal, Portugal. Oussama Mellouli covered the distance in 2 hours, 55 minutes and 60 seconds.
He is the most successful Tunisian sportsman in the history of the Olympic Games with two gold medals and a bronze medal.
The Tunisian swimmer is Olympic champion and world champion in the 1,500-meter freestyle, at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and in Rome in 2009. Mellouli also became the first Tunisian Olympic champion in swimming. He is also the second gold medalist, after Mohammed Gammoudi in 1968.
At London Olympics in 2012, he won gold in the 10km open water and bronze in the 1,500-meter freestyle.

Greek archery champion Evangelia Psarra will also compete in the Olympic Games for the sixth time.
The 47-year-old athlete qualified from the pre Olympic tournament which took place in Paris. Tokyo Olympics will be the 6th consecutive Olympic Games of his career.
