A major volunteer movement is being created in Patras for the Mediterranean Beach Games. The requested number of volunteers during the period of the Games was estimated by the Organizing Committee, approximately to 1,000 people, a number which will be easily accomplished. Two months before the start of the Games, 900 people have already been selected.

The procedure for the applications continues and there is great interest from the people of Patras. The Organizing Committee’s kiosk at Georgiou A ‘s Square, which will remain open until the end of the Games, has contributed a lot in this effort. In this kiosk, the people can have all the necessary information about the voluntarism and the Games and all the people who are interested, can register for volunteers.

Additionally, in the final number of volunteers must be included, the groups of children who will assist in the beach volleyball and beach tennis, as well the athletes of the local sports clubs who will help in the respective sports. It should be noted that the volunteers who have already been selected and those who continue to express interest are mostly live in Patras, but there are quite a few who come from other parts of Greece.
