
Five new padel courts for the Mediterranean Games Taranto 2026
August 7, 2025Members of the Tunisian National Olympic Committee welcomed world champion Ahmed Jaouadi to the Olympic House, celebrating his historic achievement at the World Championships in Singapore, where he claimed gold medals in the 800m and 1500m freestyle events.
The champion was received by Mr Mehrez Boussayene, member of the International Olympic Committee and President of the Tunisian National Olympic Committee, who conveyed the pride of Tunisia’s sporting and Olympic family.
Mr Boussayene also expressed his gratitude to the entire team that supported Ahmed Jaouadi in the final stages of his preparation for the World Championships, praising their voluntary commitment in service of the nation.
As part of the Committee’s ongoing support for Tunisia’s great athletes, the meeting concluded with the presentation to Ahmed Jaouadi of a cheque for 100,000 dinars, awarded by the Committee to champions who raise Tunisia’s colours high at World Championships and the Olympic Games, in recognition of their historic achievements.
Accompanied by members of his family, Ahmed Jaouadi expressed his deep gratitude to the National Olympic Committee for its unwavering support since the beginning of his career and throughout his journey.
