The Spanish Olympic Committee (COE) presented its new Sport Model, a project proposing the most significant structural transformation of the Spanish sports system in decades.

The presentation, held at the COE headquarters, brought together, among others, the President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez; the President of the COE, Alejandro Blanco; the Minister of Education, Vocational Training and Sport, Pilar Alegría; and the President of the Higher Sports Council, José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes.

This project is the culmination of several years of work and ongoing dialogue conducted by the COE in collaboration with academic experts, sports leaders, federations, athletes and other stakeholders in the sector. Its objective is clear: to modernise a sports model inherited from past structures and adapt it to the real needs of a country that has undergone profound social, economic and sporting changes.
