The French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) brought together 200 children aged 6 to 14, accompanied by the organization Secours Populaire, at Haras de Jardy Park for a day dedicated to the values of sport and solidarity.

After a morning session fostering connections between children from different departments of Secours Populaire, the groups had the opportunity to explore various sports through introductory activities led by CNOSF teams and volunteers. These included orienteering, golf, horse riding, and tennis.

Additionally, the 200 children had the chance to meet and interact with high-level athletes, such as:

Cécile Dulowski – Para golfer and social ambassador for invisible disabilities.

Ayodélé Ikuesan – 2014 European vice-champion in the 4x100m relay (athletics).

Ludivine Kreutz – Golfer and member of the European team for the 2005 Solheim Cup.

Thomas Peyroton-Dartet – Paralympic champion in the C4 time trial and Paralympic vice-champion in the C1-C3 road race at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

The children’s smiles, energy, and enthusiasm were the best testament to the event’s success. The day concluded with a presentation of sporting gifts, allowing the children to continue nurturing the passion for sport sparked during the activities.

A result of the collaboration between the CNOSF and Secours Populaire, this event highlighted the importance of making sport accessible to all. By promoting inclusion, respect, and self-improvement, the “Rendez-vous Sportif” provided each child with a unique opportunity to grow through sport.
