The President of the Tunisian National Olympic Committee (CNOT) and 1st ICMG Vice-President, Mr. Mehrez Boussayene was elected in Mumbai, India, Member of the IOC during the 141st Session of the International Olympic Committee.
The 141st IOC Session elected eight new IOC members, four women and four men and Mr. Mehrez Boussayene, was elected member in his capacity as President of the Tunisian National Olympic Committee.
The coronation of Mr. Boussayene is the recognition to the remarkable records of the CNOT over the last 10 years. President Thomas Bach as well as the leaders of world Olympism and the IOC executives, continue to highlight CNOT as an example for its commitment to the promotion of Olympic values, the consecration of the universal rules of good governance and its support to the high performance athletes.
This distinction is a great honor for Tunisia. Mr. Boussayene is the second Tunisian to be elected as an IOC Member after the late Mohamed Mzali.
Mehrez Boussayene is the1st Vice President of the International Committee of Mediterranean Games since 2021.
