Hundreds of participants of all ages took part in races of 6, 12 and 24 kilometres, while younger participants, aged 6 to 15, completed in 100m runs.
The celebration was joined by two-time Olympic taekwondo champion Milica Djuričić, who is NOC Vice President, and Olympic shooters Teodora Vukojević and Lazar Kovačević. Djuričić also visited the recently renovated Memorial Room dedicated to Dušan Milošević.
The renovation was made possible with the support of the NOC and Olympic Solidarity. The participants were also invited to join the nationwide Olympic Day Challenge through the NOC’s mobile app. This challenge encourages the whole country to run 5, 10, or 21km in celebration of the IOC’s anniversary.
