Τhe International Committee of Mediterranean Games, according to the decision of the Executive Committee, ratified unanimously by the Extraordinary General Assembly, is announcing the launch of the candidature phase for the organization of the following editions of the MG and MBG:

• 22nd edition of the Mediterranean Games in 2034
• 5th edition of the Mediterranean Beach Games in 2029
• 6th edition of the Mediterranean Beach Games in 2031
• 7th edition of the Mediterranean Beach Games in 2033

The Mediterranean NOCs, members of the ICMG, are invited to submit their candidatures in order to elect the Host City during the General Assembly of the ICMG, scheduled to be held on August 20th, 2026, in Taranto, Italy, on the occasion of the 21st edition of Mediterranean Games.

The expression of interest can be made by letter addressed to the ICMG Secretariat at [email protected] . The deadline for the expression of interest is January 31st, 2026. The deadline for the submission of a candidature file is May 31st , 2026.

The visit of the Evaluation Commission to the candidate cities will take place between June and July 2026.

The Candidature Manual for the organization of the 22nd Mediterranean Games and of the 5th, 6th and 7th Mediterranean Beach Games will be communicated to the cities that will express their interest in organizing an edition of the Mediterranean Games or of the Mediterranean Beach Games.

In case of a candidature, the official authority of the city concerned should submit an official request to the ICMG, after having obtained the approval of the National Olympic Committee of its country.  This   request   should be followed by the submission of a candidature file, which should contain detailed information on all the commitments and organisation conditions, as well as the letters of guarantee on behalf of the state authorities.
