Sailor Támara Echegoyen and canoeist Marcus Cooper will be the flagbearers for the Spanish team at the Opening Ceremony of the Games in Paris.

Echegoyen was an Olympic champion at London 2012, and finished fourth at Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020. For his part, Cooper won gold at Rio 2016 and silver at Tokyo 2020.

The two athletes were chosen by the Presidents of the national Olympic sports federations at a meeting held at the NOC headquarters.
