ICMG President Davide Tizzano, in his capacity as President of the Italian Rowing Federation, participated in the 1158th meeting of the CONI National Council held at the Aragonese Castle in Taranto.

The meeting in Taranto symbolized CONI’s support for the Organizing Committee of the Mediterranean Games “Taranto 2026,” during the crucial phase of constructing new facilities and redeveloping existing ones.

President Tizzano highlighted, both to the press and the Council members, the significant efforts made by the commissioner structure to recover the time required for organizing the Games, which are scheduled to take place from 21 August to 3 September next year. He also emphasized the long-term legacy of renewed sports venues that will benefit the citizens of Puglia.

Malagò and Tizzano, together with the President and Director of the Organizing Committee, Massimo Ferrarese and Carlo Molfetta, visited several of the venues where the Mediterranean Games will be held.
