Delegation from the International Committee of Mediterranean Games (ICMG), led by the Italian president, Davide Tizzano, arrived in Oran on Friday to examine the city’s preparations to host the 19th edition of the Mediterranean Games.

This is the first time that Mr. Tizzano has visited Algeria since his election a few months ago as President of the CIJM, succeeding the Algerian Amar Addadi.

The ICMG President who was accompanied by the Secretary General, Iakovos Filppousis, had a meeting with the commissioner of the Games, Mr. Mohamed Aziz Derouaz and the managers of the various commissions of the Organizing Committee.

The ICMG delegation will have the opportunity to visit the sports and hotel facilities designated for the Mediterranean Games and hold meetings with the Organizing Committee to have a clear view on the progress of the preparations on the organizational level.
