Τwo countries, Italy and Portugal won all the medals in the Open Water Swimming of the Mediterranean Beach Games at Heraklion, Crete.
Italy took two gold medals in the two events with Marcelo Cuidi and Arianna Bridi, one silver and one bronze. Portugal won one silver and one bronze.
The medals to the winners were presented by the ICMG Secretary General Iakovos Filippousis, by the President of the Ethics and Juridical Commission of the ICMG, Francesco Purromuto and by the Greek Olympic silver medallist in Open Water, Spyros Gianniotis.
