A memorandum of understanding was signed at the U.S. Embassy in Zagreb between representatives of the Croatian Olympic Committee (HOO) and the city of Los Angeles as the host of the Games of the XXXIV Olympiad.
Since Los Angeles’s 15th City Council district includes the town of San Pedro, the signed document is officially an agreement of understanding between Council District 15 of the City of Los Angeles and the Croatian Olympic Committee on the organization of the Croatian House in San Pedro during the 2028 Olympic Games.
The document was signed by the President of the Croatian Olympic Committee, Zlatko Mateša, and Los Angeles City Council Member for District 15, Tim McOsker.
The event was also attended by US ambassador to the Republic of Croatia, Nathalie Rayes, who welcomed the signatories at the embassy’s residence, member of the International Olympic Committee from Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, and member of the LA County Board of Supervisors representing the 4th District, Supervisor Janice Hahn.
