The 308th CONI National Council was held at the Foro Italico in Rome. At the opening of the proceedings, President Giovanni Malagò, together with Secretary General Carlo Mornati, awarded the Golden Collar to Diana Bacosi, who won Olympic gold in mixed skeet shooting at Paris 2024 alongside Gabriele Rossetti. Bacosi was absent from the official award ceremony held last December.

The Golden Collar was also awarded to Stefano Mossino, President of CONI Piedmont, who won the CONI Winter Trophy.

In the presence of the d’Inzeo family and the President of the Italian Equestrian Sports Federation, Marco Di Paola, President Malagò presented a commemorative stamp issued to mark the centenary of the birth of Raimondo d’Inzeo—Olympic champion in Rome 1960 and multiple-time world champion in equestrianism.

President Malagò then addressed the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic programme. Speaking also in his capacity as a member of the dedicated IOC commission, he outlined to the Council the innovations introduced, which involve numerous Federations.
