Maja Đurić, an associate of the National Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is one of the 18 officers who successfully trained in the Olympic Commitments for the Environment project and became the country’s first climate change officer this week.

“This recognition is not just personal satisfaction, it is proof that Bosnia and Herzegovina, through the Olympic Committee of BiH, has the capacity to be part of European strategic trends in the fight against climate change. The BiH Olympic Committee was among the first to recognise the importance of this topic and, as a credible EU partner, showed that sport can be an engine of sustainable change,” said Đurić.
