The Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI), represented by President Giovanni Malagò, and the National Association of Italian Municipalities (ANCI), in the person of the Vice President and Delegate for Sport, Health, Youth Policies and Internal Areas, Roberto Pella have signed a memorandum of understanding lasting three years.

The agreement aims to promote sports practice within the social life as a factor of individual well-being, cohesion, and cultural and economic development. This will be achieved through activities designed to help citizens with particular focus on children and adolescents, acquire sports skills and abilities, inspired by the experiences of the Italian Olympic athletes.

CONI and ANCI seek to encourage both amateur and competitive sports at the local level through territorial initiatives that facilitate sports and physical activities for all age groups and populations, with special attention to youth sports.

Special attention is given to the youth project Trofeo CONI, a sports event for those under 14, organized in collaboration with Sports Organizations. This event is a valuable asset for the host territory, contributing to the creation of a positive legacy in terms of socio-economic impact on local industries and tourism promotion. It conveys a vision of sport that goes beyond the playing field and spreads throughout the community.
