Rafael Nadal offers himself a 13th coronation in Roland-Garros. The Spaniard demolished Serbian Novak Djokovic in three sets 6-0, 6-2, 7-5 in the Roland-Garros final, tying the record of twenty Grand Slam trophies set by Roger Federer .

Novak Djokovic remains in 17 majors and takes his first loss of the year the second after his shock disqualification at the US Open. He therefore did not become the first player in the Open era (since 1968) to have each of the four Grand Slam titles to his credit at least twice.
