Saran Group company HD Protek has completed the host broadcast production of the Taranto 2026 Mediterranean Games, delivering a multi-venue international sports production to broadcast audiences across Europe, North Africa and beyond.

Held in Taranto, Italy, the 20th Mediterranean Games brought together athletes from across the Mediterranean region in one of the year’s major multi-sport events. As host broadcast production partner, HD Protek was responsible for delivering the international broadcast signal across multiple sporting disciplines and venues.

The project followed a six-month preparation process, during which HD Protek worked closely with key stakeholders and strategic partners on site visits, technical assessments and operational planning. The team identified technical and operational challenges across the venues and developed solutions ahead of the Games to ensure production readiness.

During the Games, HD Protek coordinated multiple simultaneous productions, with technical and production solutions tailored to the requirements of individual sports and venues. An international team and extensive broadcast infrastructure supported the operation across the Games.

HD Protek produced the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and a wide range of sporting competitions, managing the broadcast operation from pre-Games planning through to final delivery.

Bringing Taranto 2026 to International Audiences

The international broadcast signal produced by HD Protek enabled coverage of Taranto 2026 across Europe, North Africa and beyond through television, radio and digital platforms under the agreement between the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and the International Committee of Mediterranean Games (ICMG).

The Games were also available internationally through Eurovision Sport, the EBU’s digital sports platform.

Taranto 2026 marks an important milestone in HD Protek’s international growth and demonstrates its ability to deliver large-scale, multi-venue sports productions across international markets.

Yücel Özacar, General Manager of HD Protek, said: “Taranto 2026 was a complex international operation requiring extensive preparation, close coordination and precise execution.
