The International Committee of the Mediterranean Games (ICMG) and SportsIn are pleased to announce the launch of a Strategic Media & Communication Partnership, marking the beginning of a long-term collaboration aimed at strengthening the international visibility and communication of the Mediterranean Movement.
The partnership reflects the shared commitment of both organizations to promote the values of the Mediterranean Games through modern, independent and internationally oriented communication, while supporting the continued development and growing international profile of one of the world’s historic multi-sport movements.
The agreement comes at a particularly important moment for the Mediterranean Movement, as the ICMG pursues a renewed vision focused on enhancing the profile, relevance and international recognition of the Mediterranean Games for future generations of athletes and sports communities throughout the Mediterranean basin.
By joining forces, the ICMG and SportsIn seek to contribute to a stronger international presence for the Mediterranean Games and to further promote the principles of friendship, cooperation, solidarity and mutual understanding that have always defined the Mediterranean Movement.
Iakovos Filippousis, Secretary General of the International Committee of the Mediterranean Games, said:
“The Mediterranean Games are founded on values that unite people through sport, friendship and mutual respect. We are pleased to welcome SportsIn as our Strategic Media & Communication Partner and look forward to a cooperation that will further strengthen the international visibility of the Mediterranean Movement and support its future development.”
George A. Yerolimpos, Chief Executive Officer of SportsIn, said:
“It is a great honour for SportsIn to be entrusted with this responsibility. We believe strongly in the vision of the Mediterranean Movement and in the important role that the Mediterranean Games continue to play in bringing together nations through sport. We are proud to contribute to this new chapter and to support the ICMG’s efforts to further elevate the profile and global recognition of the Games.”
The partnership becomes effective immediately and will accompany the Mediterranean Movement throughout the current Games cycle and into the next edition of the Mediterranean Games.
