October 8, 2025The Moroccan National Olympic Committee (CNOM), represented by its Secretary General, Mr. Abdellatif Idmahama, and its Director of International Relations and Communication, Mr. Majd Chekroun, took part in the 41st Session of the Secretaries General of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa, held in Maputo on 27 and 28 September 2025.
Held under the theme “Quadrennial Plan 2021–2024: Implementation, Evaluation, Lessons Learned and Strategic Objectives for 2025–2028”, the meeting brought together representatives from the 54 African NOCs. It provided a valuable opportunity for exchange and reflection on the future of sport in Africa.
Discussions focused on key issues such as financial governance, crisis management, the integration of new technologies — including artificial intelligence — and the promotion of young talents through the Olympafrica project. Participants also worked on developing an ambitious roadmap for the 2025–2028 period.
Beyond the topics addressed, the session helped strengthen cooperation among African National Olympic Committees and consolidate a shared vision focused on innovation and the sustainable development of sport.
