Olympic Day in Egypt with Ahmed El-Gendy
August 24, 2025The Turkish National Olympic Committee (TMOK) and the popular social media platform TikTok are teaming up through a long-term partnership that will run through the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.
This collaboration aims to elevate the presence of all Olympic sports on TikTok, giving users the opportunity to explore, support, and connect with athletes across various disciplines, from archery and sailing to swimming and gymnastics, through engaging content and live streams.
As part of this extended partnership, TMOK and TikTok are working together to bring greater visibility to Olympic sports, especially those that traditionally receive less attention in Türkiye. By creating digital-first content tailored for younger audiences, the initiative seeks to expand the reach of these sports and inspire broader participation across the country.
Details of the partnership were announced during a press event held at the Olympic House. Among the speakers were TMOK President Ahmet Gülüm, TMOK Board Member and Olympic basketball player Birsel Vardarlı Demirmen, TikTok Türkiye’s Central and South Asia Global Business Solutions Leader Barış Aldanmaz, and TikTok’s Operations Leader for Türkiye, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia, Melis Çağlar.
