Korakaki took the first gold for Greece in Minsk

Greece with Anna Korakaki won the first gold medal at the 2nd European Games in Minsk.

The Olympic champion in shooting took the first place in the 25m pistol during a dramatic final.

Korakaki qualified sixth for the final. During the game, methodically and with impressive composure, she won the gold medal against Heidi Diethelm Gerber from Suisse. In the decisive last battle, the Greek won with 35 + 3 against the 35 + 2 of his opponent.

Korakaki also won in Minsk a silver medal at the 10m air pistol.

So far in Minsk, France and Italy have won five gold medals, Slovenia has two, while Portugal, Spain, Serbia, Kosovo, Turkiye, Croatia, Spain and Bosnia and Herzegovina won  one gold medal.
